SsangYong teases XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure concepts ahead of Paris reveal

SsangYong teases XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure concepts ahead of Paris reveal

SsangYong is teasing two new concepts called XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure which will be introduced next month at Paris Motor Show.

Set to be unveiled on October 2, both are near-production concepts previewing SsangYong's upcoming X100 compact crossover which our spies have caught on camera several times. "XIV" stands for "eXciting user-Interface Vehicle" and these two B-segment crossovers follow other similar concepts released in recent years by SsangYong, with the most recent one being the XLV shown in Geneva back in March.

The concepts seen here are 4195mm long and have a 2600mm wheelbase while under the hood there's either a 1.6-liter gasoline engine or a 1.6-liter diesel, with both of them meeting Euro 6 emissions standards but their output hasn't been disclosed yet.

SsangYong says the X100 will go on sale next year and chances are it will be offered with a more rugged optional styling package as hinted by the XIV-Adventure concept.
