BMW i8 imagined as a sedan by Theophilus Chin
Do you like this story?
Designer Theophilus Chin has presented his latest work – a sedan version of the BMW i8.
Dubbed the i8L, the virtual electric vehicle could be introduced by the Bavarian brand as a rival for the four-seat Volkswagen XL2, also a digital project by the Malaysian “automotive manipulator”.
Chin explains the rear “suicide” doors are inspired from the i3 and have the same configuration with a lower rear window line.
Currently there are no indications that BMW has plans to launch such a model. As far as we are aware, the only derivatives of the i8 will be a Spyder modification, rumored for a 2015 debut, and probably an i9 range-topping model. About four months ago, M GmbH officials reconfirmed there aren't any plans for a hotter i8 M version.
