Next-generation Audi Q3 coming in 2018
Do you like this story?
Audi is still putting the finishing touches on the facelifted Q3 but new details are starting to emerge about the next-generation model.
According to Autobild, the redesigned crossover will be launched in 2018 and will be larger than its predecessor to help distance itself from the Q1.
Engine options are expected to be shared with the Volkswagen Tiguan but there are rumors of an eco-friendly Q3 Ultra which could use a 110 PS (81 kW) 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine and an optimized S-tronic transmission to deliver a "surprisingly low fuel consumption" rating.
There are also rumors about two high-performance variants including a Q3 RS with roughly 400 PS (294 kW) and a Q3 RS TDI with either 258 PS (190 kW) or 272 PS (200 kW). We can also expect a plug-in hybrid variant but nothing is official as of yet.
