2015 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG flexes its muscles in Paris

Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off the all-new 2015 C63 AMG family at the Paris Motor Show.
Aside from bringing the heavily teased AMG GT, Mercedes-Benz is also showcasing the C63 AMG sports sedan & wagon which will both be offered in two flavors. The standard variant is going to pack 476 HP (350 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) generated by a twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine whereas the C63 S will reward buyers with 510 HP (375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) produced by the same engine which has a lot in common with the AMG GT's motor.
The fastest C63 AMG is the sedan in S guise as it needs only 4 seconds to complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run on its way to an electronically-governed top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). If you need more luggage capacity, the C63 AMG S Estate does the sprint in 4.1 seconds while the regular sedan and wagon versions are 0.1s slower compared to their hotter S equivalents. All that power is channeled to the rear wheels with help from an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed sports transmission that benefits from software & hardware revisions to improve response.
The differences between the two C63 AMG versions continue beyond the output levels since the regular model has a rear mechanical locking differential while the C63 AMG S gets an electronic rear locking differential. Moreover, the S also benefits from AMG GT-derived dynamic engine mounts and sits on 19-inch wheels (18-inch for standard model).
Deliveries of the C63 AMG models are programmed to commence early next year.
