ferrari has introduced the 458 Speciale A (Aperta) limited edition during the first day of the Paris Motor Show.
The most powerful open-top prancing horse has arrived in France's capital together with its massive 605 HP & 540 Nm output coming from an uprated naturally aspirated V8 4.5-liter sourced from the fixed roof version. Weight has gone up by 50 kg to 1,340 kg as a result of the added roof mechanism but this hasn’t affected the car's 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) performance which continues to take three seconds.
It's described as being "the most aerodynamically efficient Ferrari spider ever" and will be produced in a limited series of 499 units. All will come with a retractable aluminum hard top which can be opened or closed in 14 seconds and the cars will also feature five-spoke Grigio Corsa forged wheels.
Pricing hasn't been announced but the 458 Speciale A will certainly command a premium over the regular version which in United States kicks off at $298,000.
