Nissan has released the GT-R Nismo GT500 contender for next year's Super GT500 class.
Yesterday we saw Lexus unveil the LF-CC and Honda the NSX Concept-GT racers for the same competition, and now Nissan has taken the wraps of their vehicle which is based on the GT-R. All three cars were developed to meet the same technical regulations as the ones in DTM, with the exception of the regulations regarding engines.
The Nissan GT-R Nismo GT500 is doing a demonstration this weekend at Round 5 of the Super GT series at Suzuka in Japan where visitors can also see the other two cars from Lexus and Honda. Nissan will also showcase the race-spec GT-R on December 1st at Fuji Speedway during the Nismo Festival.
Nissan's participating teams and specifications of the car will be announced at a later date.
