2016 Volvo S90 comes into focus

New details are starting to emerge about the Volvo S90.
Set to battle the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes E-Class, the car will reportedly have the same basic proportions as the S80 but adopt a modern design which is heavily influenced by the XC90. This means we can expect soft curves and a distinctive front fascia that incorporates a stylish grille and headlights with T-shaped LED daytime running lights.
The cabin will also be heavily influenced by the XC90 so expect it to be equipped with premium leather upholstery, wood trim and metallic accents. There should also be a digital instrument cluster and a massive infotainment system.
Specifications remain a mystery but the model will ride on the SPA platform and feature a variety of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines which will likely carryover from the XC90.
The S90 will reportedly be launched in 2016 and cost "just over" £30,000 ($48,959 / €37,788) in the United Kingdom.
