Infiniti displays chrome wrapped ESQ in front of Beijing mall
Do you like this story?
Infiniti applied a shiny silver wrap on an ESQ and displayed it in front of a mall in Beijing, China.
As if the regular Infiniti ESQ wasn't already an eye-grabber with its love/hate design, Nissan's premium brand decided to apply a chrome wrap and showcase the flashy crossover in front of a mall in Beijing. To enhance the effect, the ESQ was installed on a platform covered with mirrors so it was nearly impossible to miss it.
Towards the end of August we saw the first official images with the Infiniti ESQ, basically a rebadged Nissan Juke Nismo for the Chinese market with a slightly more upscale interior. Power is provided exclusively by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo generating 200 PS (147 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) delivered to the wheels through a CVT.
Infiniti's marketing department made this move to increase the model's awareness ahead of a sales launch set for October.
